You can’t dig upwards - from this blog (written in Dec, 2014), I learnt that by 1960s, majority (>90%) of cars sold in USA were automatic. this came as a natural shock. automatic cars are a minority in india. they’re growing now but manual is what stil feels the defualt.

Teach yourself programming in ten years - this reminded me of something i had forgot - deliberate practice - in order to learn some skill, you need to deliberately do practice that is just outside your conpetence circle - it should feel frustrating but achievable - and then evaluate your outcome.

as the internet gets filled with slop, these decade old blogs seem so ‘human’. always a delight when i find one.
