thoughts: identity detachment
who are you? this is a philosophical question that many of our species have wondered or are wondering about. i’m no different.
what came about from the neurons firing in my brains (i’m doing the exact bucket thing robert sapolsky says not to fall into but lets see what comes out of it) is that i’m mostly just the configuration of my neurons. maybe i’m a markov chain. my current neural configuration has encoded everything that has happened in my life so far - all my experiences, memories, etc, and so all you require to predict my future behavious is my current neural configuration.
i digressed. what i think is a good way to be more mindful and have the prefrontal cortex in charge is this concept - identity detachment.
that you consider that you’re nothing but your neurons. the configuration. it makes you act a particular way.
sonder. its my favourite word. sonder. sometimes takes you to a different form of consciousness.
